Premium Boxed Scatter Game Set | Reclaimed Barn Wood Rack | Poplar Pins/Baton
Premium Boxed Scatter Game Set | Reclaimed Barn Wood Rack | Poplar Pins/Baton
Scatter is a Scandinavian lawn game that's perfect for outdoor gatherings. It can be played by any number of competitors ages 7 and up. This makes it great for a backyard BBQ with friends or family where an easy-to-learn/easy-to-play multiage game fits the bill. It's also great on the beach!
The game is simple: you throw a baton at the pins and keep score of how many are knocked down. If you only knock down one, you earn the number of points that are marked on the pin. You set up the pins where they land, then the next player tosses. Play until someone scores exactly 50. If you go over, your score is set back to 25 and play continues. Complete rules (on a laminated card) are included.
The most important part of setting up a game of Scatter is putting the 12 pins in their correct order. This set includes a carrying case that doubles as a rack so your game is set up perfectly each time. Here's how it works: Put the box on the ground where you want the pins set up. Pull the sliding lid out from the bottom and lift the box off. Mark your throwing spot 10 feet back, and you're ready to play!
When the game ends, gather up the 12 pins and stack them in their numbered spot in the carrying case. Slide on the lid and the pins are racked and ready to start another game--or for compact storage until your next outing.
Twist the baton into the twine handles for storage and a convenient handle for the whole kit.
This Scatter game carrying case is made of unfinished reclaimed Pennsylvania barn wood (hemlock) and the pins are made of Tennessee grown and milled poplar. Approximate dimensions: 10"W x 9.5"L x 9"H; pins have a 2" diameter and are about 5-1/4" high; the baton is also 2” in diameter and approximately 9.5” long.
You'll never lose the laminated directions that are attached to the sliding lid. And a small dry erase marker is included to assist you with score keeping (a scoring chart is printed on the directions).
These sets are made and ready to send out. The one that ships will not be the one pictured, but it will be similar in size and appearance.
