Scatter is a Scandinavian lawn game that's perfect for outdoor gatherings. It can be played by any number of competitors ages 7 and up. This makes it great for a backyard BBQ with friends or family where an easy-to-learn/easy-to-play multi-age game fits the bill. It's also great on the beach!

The game is simple: you throw a baton at the pins and keep score of how many are knocked down. If you only knock down one, you earn the number of points that are marked on the pin. You set up the pins where they land, then the next player tosses. Play until someone scores exactly 50. If you go over, your score is set back to 25 and play continues. Complete rules—which are laminated and attached to a board at the bottom of the bag—are included. A laminated score card is attached to the reverse side of the board, and a dry erase marker is included with each set.

The pins and baton are made of unfinished poplar wood that is grown and milled in the USA. A cotton tote bag holds the game pieces and directions. The baton is 2 inches in diameter and about 9-1/2 inches long. Pins are also 2 inches in diameter and are about 5-1/4 inches high. The top of each pin is notched to help reduce splintering.

While the game set is durable and build to last for years of play, it should be stored in a dry place protected from the weather when not in use.
